Our projects.

ROSA PARK, ASIRA AL-SHAMALIYA. 2015

'Rosa Park' is SkatePal's second concrete skatepark in the West Bank, and the largest in the country.

Situated in the northern West Bank village of Asira Al-Shamaliya, the 700m2 concrete park was built by twenty international volunteers in October 2015. All materials for the park were sourced locally in the village.

The park is a collaboration between SkatePal, The Palestinian House of Friendship and the Asira Al-Shamaliya Council.

Local and international volunteers are hosting regular classes at the Rosa Park, providing loaner skateboarding and safety equipment to be used during the sessions. The park welcomes local youth with a daily average attendance of 40 actively participating young people (significantly higher over the weekend), alongside accompanying families hosting picnics, trying skateboarding themselves and interacting with the communal space.

INASH AL-USRA SKATEPARK, AL-BIREH. 2023

In 2023 we collaborated with Betongpark.Ltd and Inash Al-Usra on a small concrete skateapark at the Inash AlUsra association in Al-Bireh, Ramallah.

Established in the city of Al-Bireh in 1965, Inash Al-Usra is a non-profit, charitable and developmental Palestinian women’s association. Although small, it will provide the girls with a safe space to learn and practice skateboarding under the guidance of local skateboarders. The park is also open for public skate sessions several times a week.

SAREYYET CLUB, RAMALLAH. 2018

Since 2018, SkatePal has been hosting regular skateboarding classes at The Sareyyet Club in central Ramallah with the help of local and international volunteers, using wooden ramps built & maintained by local skaters

The classes have proved to be a huge success with a 50% female participation.

JAYYOUS SKATEPARK. 2017
