Annual SkatePal report 2019

Another year is coming to an end and it’s time to look back on our achievements, pat ourselves on the back and set up new goals for 2020.

In 2019 we continued to run our programmes in Palestine, extending our classes to regular sessions in Ramallah, and began our London-based programme focusing on migrant youth.

So far we have reached 1.4k programme participants and our female participation continues to increase, reaching 41% this year!

For another year our fundraising and donations have increased, allowing us to expand our work. This would not be possible without you! With the ongoing financial support we are aiming to ensure the skateboard scene in Palestine becomes fully sustainable over the next 3 years.

Following his graduation and appearance as a panelist in Pushing Boarders Malmö, Aram Sabbah returned to Palestine and began the role of full-time Local Manager. Aram has been with us since the beginning and we’re stoked that he will be taking on more of the management of our projects and volunteers on site.

More and more people are skating in Palestine and we have now signed a contract to build a new skatepark in Ramallah.
